In the year 1622, a scythe works and a sawmill start up operations at the Dambach valley location. Wood becomes the most important raw material from the year 1906. The production of plywood begins in 1922. The works are shut down in the war years, and in 1943 falls victim to a devastating fire. After it has been reconstructed, sliced veneer, door blanks and chipboard are also produced.

ROHOL, Rosenauer Holzverarbeitungsges.m.b.H., is established as a new business in 1981 by KR Stöckl and Ing. Tropper.

Capacities were significantly increased through substantial investments, the expansion and further development of veneer production and the construction of the new face veneer splicing plant.

The latest production machines, the most innovative materials, the most modern measuring and sorting equipment: ROHOL is always a step ahead – on new markets, with new partners, for example in the Ukraine: there, a staff of 1200 produce high-quality board products as well as skis and hockey sticks for the world market.

The range of products is constantly expanded.
Light building boards and biological furniture components, as well as wood combined with other materials (aluminium, ABS, lead, ...) are examples of future-oriented wood processing.

A historically important location – a modern company.
